Back in early 2009, Apple iPhone 3GS was affected with a bug which caused minor issue to iPhone users. An identical bug is now seen in the famous Motorola cell phone released in December, Motorola Droid.
Motorola Droid which is powered by Android OS V 2. 1 and this bug goes resulting in great security issues. When one receives the call, the bug gets activated and all the information on the phone can be accessed by another person. The bug is working till the time the call is in. Once the call gets disconnected, the phone is going to be back to its regular safe state.
Look at brief info on Android V 2. 1
Android V 2. 1 was launched as a platform for devices using Android. Android V 2. 1 was released with some additions in it. Such as the flaws were fixed and Application Framework was also improved. There weren’t many but few changes(for better) made in Android 2.0 and the upgraded version came as Android V 2. 1.
Since this is a security issue, the matter cannot be dismissed. However, being a bit alert can help you save your data reach unwanted places. Yes, for a person to have access to the data stored in phone, that person would need to have your phone. Its only when someone has possession of your Motorola Droid can reach and use or rather misuse the data.
Also, having the Droid only will not let them have access to all information. As mentioned earlier, the Droid phone has to receive a call to make the bug get on its job of sneaking inside for data.
Though Droid has a protection system for security, it fails. The bug is apparently pretty strong and it can make the system ineffective.
Perhaps it will take some time before the bug is fixed.
