The news is Nokia is contemplating to make Dual SIM cell phones like Motorola, Samsung and LG. The talks of Nokia getting in the Dual SIM market were out before too, and now it has been certified by Nokia itself. Nokia has always been popular in the market globally until last few years when many other cell phone makers emerged as competitors. There could be many reasons why Nokia is working towards this:
1. Since a few years, which once used to be top brand, Nokia is now loosing its hold on the market. So this could be one way to re-establish its lost demand.
2. A lot of other mobile phone manufacturers have already used Dual SIM function in their cell phone units, so Nokia may just want to try to be parallel with those brands.
Advantages of Nokia Dual SIM Cell Phone?
The advantage with dual SIM is that it saves good amount of money. A lot of us require to keep two cell phone numbers for various reasons. And for two different numbers you want two different mobile phone handsets. But with Nokia Dual SIM facility in the phone, the cost of keeping another mobile phone gets saved. One handset can be used for two numbers. The Dual SIM phones have been doing well in the Asian market. And Samsung is one of the top cell phone manufacturers. Nokia will have to employ fresh and smart strategies to win over Samsung drive buyers towards it.

The Nokia Dual SIM mobile phone will be out in the market somewhere in the first half of 2010. That year already has many new gizmos and additions to features of already existing ones lined up- Apple Tablet, google phone, numerous Android based phones .
