Ever since Google has gotten into the cell phone industry with the introduction of Nexus One, Apple Google rivalry seems to worsen. At present Google is the default search engine on iPhones. Unfortunately, now this will not be the case.
Most probably Apple will team up with Microsoft and set Bing as the default search engine for iPhone users. If you continue to be doubtful what Bing is: Bing is a search engine from Microsoft. What sets Bing apart from other search engines like Yahoo, Google is its visual elements. The backdrop of the Bing home page is changing frequently and there are facts shared in regards to the picture and things regarding it. However, the search results are not that good when compared to Google. Nevertheless, one should definitely check out Bing for its graphics (Personally, I use BIng only for its homepage).
Getting back to our topic, Bing may replace Google on iPhones. This can be a significant loss to Google and a big accomplishment to Microsoft. Till sometime back Google and Apple were two biggies of two totally different sectors. but now Google has gotten into the Mobile market and may be in future it might also give strong opposition to Apple. (Though presently you don’t have Smartphone which is as popular as iPhone. Blackberry is there, but provides services to a particular section in contrast to iPhone that is desired by one and all.) The guys at this iphone blog say if change inthe search engine takes place, Microsoft may become the biggestsearch engine tending to overtake Google.
Doubtful what they mean by ‘overtake’: Merely for iPhone people or will it also change the usage pattern on Desktops and Laptops. Incase that occurs, that would be news. After all these years of being accustomed to Google, will shifting to Bing seem fine? I realize I just said I like Bing but not as much as Google.
